I might not have fallen in love with Reno, but the trip certainly wasn't all bad. My favorite part of all--not including the time spent just enjoying being with my family--was journaling in the park. Over the weekend, just to get away from downtown Reno, we took off on a little adventure to see the sights and ended up in Lake Tahoe. While the kids made new friends on the playground and John snuck in a few holes of frisbee golf I found the best seat in the park to lay out my paints, shuffle through my playlists and get busy making my own sweet memories. (You might have guessed, I'm not really the outdoorsy type. This is my idea of truly enjoying nature--from a slight distance.)
We chose a different park on Sunday and it was cold and rainy, but from underneath my wooded, wooden canopy, the weather was fine:
Some artsy shots:
Some tacos and one more photo op rounded out a perfect day.
