Sometimes I finish working on a project only to find that my paint palette or the paper covering my work surface is even more beautiful than what I've been working on for hours. It reminds me that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder and that while I take my work very seriously, I shouldn't take myself too seriously. I'm just a vehicle in the creative process after all.

These are gorgeous - thanks for showing them. I agree with you about what's left over - often just effortlessly lovely. I check out your site often and I'm a big fan. I'm inspired by your commitment and energy. It's golden autumn here in England now and I'm busy on a small multi- media Annunciation. I use lots of collage elements and all the 'debris' seems more beautiful than the object itself!
