I've never understood why there are certain places that don't like people to move from other places. So silly!

Good news on the art front though :)

I love the Art!! I can't wait to see more! Maybe someday I will be blessed to have a piece hanging on my wall!!

I am from California. I get sneered at no matter where I go. They all assume I am a crazy liberal. Not true but I just let them think as they will. LOL

I love this painting and I am really enjoying your blog (I found you on ROD).

Yes, "you guys" is the equivalent northern slang to "y'all". Funny story, we have this older woman in our office who says things like, "I called you people last week" or "Are you people open today?" We tried to tell her how rude it sounds. I sometimes use y'all because I like it, and I live in NY and they all look at me like i have three heads because I say it and I am not from the south.

my brother moved to denver a year ago from texas. he has adapted well; i'm sure you will too. it's like another world when we move from state to state isn't? great collaborative painting.

This is so cool - both the concept and the painting! Thanks for sharing about your process, I'm inspired. Wish I had a friend a few blocks away to paint with right now

It is amazing how hard culture shock will rock us when we are new to an environment. I remember well living back east and when they heard I was a Cali girl, I would immediately get guff. The good news for Colorado is they are gaining a beautiful and loving family that will enrich them beyond their wildest dreams! : D

I am glad your bf lives in the area and you two are venturing into uncharted art territories with collaborations. The work you have shown in awesome.

Your painting is divine and inspiring! Congratulations on your move and your adventure!

what a fun collaboration :)
it reminds me of the time my friend dana and i collaborated on a few canvases together too. sorry to hear people are giving you crap about where you're from. to me that's kind of weird because in SF people come from everywhere practically...

I sooo love this painting!!! Want want want it! :) Enjoy reading your blog! Keep it up! :)

Crystal

Do you girls switch off the paintings in your homes so that you can each have the painting? How do you do it where you both don't want the painting (or maybe don't want it:) )
