Now that our entire house and history is crammed into neatly stacked and labeled boxes, I can get a better feel for what we actually possess (as opposed to what I think we posses) and what possesses us. Here's a count of what I own (not including husband and kids' personal things):
- Books - approx. 40 boxes
- Art Supplies - approx. 25 boxes *
- Kitchen tools, dishes and food - 6 boxes
- Family mementos and treasured hand-me-downs - 2 boxes
- Summer clothes and shoes - 1 box
- Winter clothes and shoes - 1 box
* Here let me just draw your attention to my oh-so-adorable husband's commentregarding his favorite (rather large) box of mine labeled "dangly things". Scroll down to John's comment at the bottom. I don't know what the big deal is. It's perfectly self-explanatory to me and, I might add, especially sane.
Well. You can certainly tell where my priorities lie. It reminds me of a quote attributed to Erasmus, something like: "When I have a little money I buy books. If there is anything left over I buy food and clothes." Just add art supplies to books and old Erasmus and I would get along famously. As long as he doesn't like to talk too much.
I can barely keep myself out of my art journal and am mainly anxious to get this move over so I can 1.) spend some time with my bff--eeeekk! and 2.) journal, journal, journal. Here are just a few new journal pages--some finished, some not--until I see you on the other side of the state line.

your journal is just so wonderful...sigh.......I can't believe how quickly you make them! Maybe I'm putting way too much thought into it!
Good luck with that move! I'm looking forward to more journal posts!

hahahahahahhaha- What's wrong with "dangly things"> I completely get it. Probably have 2-3 boxes of them myself. When we get to pack one day, that's probably exactly what the #'s would look like for my stuff. Tell John he just doesn't understand genius.-lol
Hey in case I don't get to talk to you before you go. Email me with a phone # when you get settled!- love you guys!

Your pages are so beautiful! I didn't see your hubby's comment, but I spent all day yesterday just clearing the top of my art table off, and trying to find a place for the stuff accumulated there, so I "get" your ginormous pile of art supply boxes!
Looking forward to hearing about your new home, sorry you had to paint those lovely blue walls! When we moved, we had to paint over bright yellow!

Thanks for sharing your journals in the locomotion of the move and all. I really enjoy seeing the pages where you've already written stuff in and "used" your sewn pages as I'm figuring that part out myself. some people pages just look so busy and full already, but maybe the are not for writing (as much)! :-)
