We're eagerly awaiting the election results but without cable or satellite, there is only so much repetitive up-to-the-minute election coverage that we can sit through in an evening. I'm opting for some distraction until more results are in. How about some more journal pages?
I'm still working on the Colorado knitting project, but there's no big rush since it won't be cool enough to wear a scarf in South Texas for another 2 months. Sigh.
And last, but not least, my contribution to the 12 Days of Christmas Swap I've participated in for the last few years. Sorry, I don't want to ruin the surprise so only a peek or two.
Truthfully, I can hardly contain myself tonight. I turned 18 just in time to waste my ill-informed virgin vote on Ross Perot (feel free to point and laugh now), but nothing has come close to the excitement of this election year. I'll admit that I'm a cynic at heart, but something has been stirred within me--by both candidates, truthfully--that is looking more and more like HOPE. Economy and recession be damned, I'm looking forward to what is in store for my country in the coming years. An African-American president?! A female vice-president?! Either way, we have a lot to celebrate tonight.

Still enjoying your journal pages... and your scarf is coming out very nice indeed! I had to chuckle over you turning 18 only to give your ill-informed virgin vote to Ross Perot because guess what - same here!lol... except I think I was 21 which isn't much different than 18. I was just thinking about that the other day. Oh regrets! But at least we exercized our voting rights from the start.
